We would definitely stay here again! Great location, comfortable, charming and clean! Positive: We loved the location! We also enjoyed the comfortable atmosphere! Negative: Bathroom mirror is a bit too small and high on the wall.

Lovely place to enjoy historic Edinburgh Positive: The location was fabulous. Central and very picturesque and so easy to get around Edinburgh. We loved the historic nature of the property and it was very sympathetically restored. Very stylish. Also the terrace with views was lovely Negative: Only issue for some people may have been no vehicular access but not an issue for us and definitely a sacrifice worth making for staying in such a special place. A little compact but again not an issue for us. Only issue we had was the cold tap didn’t work in the bathroom.?!?

Quirky, cosy and central Positive: This is a wonderful place to stay for a couple to see Edinburgh. At the bottom of Carlton Hill it is very central but quiet. Would definitely recommend.

A truly quirky self contained cottage within walking distance to everything Positive: Communication with Marco the owner was great. We couldn't find the entrance at first but he explained on the phone with no problem. The accommodation is very quirky and completely self contained. It was too cold for us to enjoy the little outside courtyard area unfortunately. It felt very secure with two coded gates although sensor lights would be useful. A tv in the bedroom would have made it more perfect for us because the lounge has no sofa and it wasn't the most comfortable on the chairs. Toiletries are provided. Good white towels. Nice white bedding - (the bed is very low). Good lighting everywhere. Warm. Quiet. Tea and coffee is provided. There is an iron and ironing board and hairdryer. Walking distance to major sights and train station, bus stops and tram. Useful luggage storage shop nearby (Bounce) Negative: A hook in the bathroom would be good for the towels. Also a little shelf in the shower for toiletries. TV in the bedroom would have made it perfect for us. A small sofa in the lounge would be more comfortable - there are two chairs.
