Positive: Great location, short walk from the railway station and the sites of Edinburgh. Quiet, clean, good communication from the owner. Ideal for family holiday, we all enjoyed our stay.

Great for a girls weekend in Edinburgh. Positive: Location, location, location! It was also very quaint and the host was excellent. Negative: Both bathrooms in the main house were on the 2nd floor. No full length mirror.

A great lodging in a fantastic location. We really appreciated that we could walk to just about everywhere in downtown Edinburgh, and had easy access to train, bus, and tram as well. So nice to be on Calton Hill, where a few steps up took us to a grand view over the city, and yet we felt as if we were in a very private place. The two-story lodging feels very homey and it was lovely to return to at the end of the day. We had neighbors downstairs a couple of nights during our weeklong stay but didn’t really notice them. The backyard garden was only for us and on sunny days it was great to sit out there. Can’t recommend this place highly enough; we would absolutely book here again. Also, host was super responsive whenever we had a question, answering us within minutes.

Gorgeous garden and loved the way the rooms were furnished. The beds were so comfortable! Loved the large kitchen and living area where we could all gather. Very clean. The whole property was gorgeous. Check in was easy. Negative: The stove had no instructions. The kitchen is well outfitted and calling for large group meals. So to not be able to operate the stove was a big miss. We ended up with a a lot of food we couldn’t cook for breakfast on the last morning. And the checkout instructions were vague and difficult to follow (where do we take the rubbish out on the street?) And, response times to questions were slow. Luckily we didn’t have many.

This was the perfect spot for visiting Edinburgh for the first time!
